Event Production

Industry Awards Gala

Warm colors, soft fabrics and dramatic lighting complimented the architectural features of the Ronald Reagan Building and made this evening gala a true picture of elegance.

ASSOCIATION CONFERENCE

Lighting, scenic elements and screen graphics all worked in harmony for this general session stage set. During walk-in and at other transition points, the set lighting was programmed to match the theme graphics animating on screen – creating an inviting environment for the 2,500 attendees.

Corporate Conference

For a 3-day corporate conference with over 1,000 attendees, O'Keefe Communications designed a striking, wide-screen set. The stage also featured a small studio area complete with plasma screens for intimate panel discussions.

ASSOCIATION CONFERENCE

A barren exhibit hall at the Pennsylvania Convention Center was turned into a colorful and engaging environment for this association’s annual conference of 5,000 people. Images, video and color were projected onto 12 discrete surfaces, which in total measured 24’ feet high by 180’ wide.

CORPORATE CONFERENCE

This energetic set design utilized a wide spectrum of intelligent lighting instruments – including animating Versatubes -- to create the sense of excitement promised by the event’s “Take It to the eXtreme ” conference theme.

Awards Gala

During an evening gala for 300 guests, O'Keefe Communications used theatrical lighting to enhance the features of the Andrew Mellon Auditorium with the gala's theme colors.

Industry Awards Gala

To transform the National Building Museum into a warm and inviting atmosphere for an evening gala, O'Keefe Communications used theatrical lighting to enhance the architectural details of the building. Screens backed with red fabric were hung vertically and further emphasized the museum's towering columns.

ASSOCIATION CONFERENCE

This set -- designed to be as eco-friendly as possible -- utilized completely re-usable materials and a large amount of low-power LED lighting. Center projection imagery changed for each meeting segment, and animated for audience walk-in & walk-out.

NONPROFIT AWARDS GALA

This awards event at the Andrew Mellon Auditorium featured a look designed to highlight the architectural beauty of the interior without going “over the top” in the use of lighting and other technology.

Video

National Satellite Broadcast

For a national satellite broadcast, O'Keefe Communications provided pre-produced video as well as a live video feed of in-studio panel discussions.

To create a long, sweeping video shot of the neighborhood, O'Keefe's camera operator filmed from a jib, or a small crane that moves both vertically and horizontally.

Multimedia

AWARD GRAPHIC

A prestigious landscape architecture awards program was supported graphically with bright, bold illustrated drawings of botanicals. Each category faded from a sepia image to a brightly colored drawing, then to beautiful landscape images of each category. Title graphics, winner IDs, and supporting imagery were created to support the script.

Theme Graphic, Print Design & Production

Winner of a 2006 Washington IABC Silver Inkwell Award and 2007 finalist for a national ISES Esprit Award. This graphic illustrated the client's conference theme and was featured in the set design, video and multimedia support. The design was also used in the exhibitor prospectus, pre-registration booklet, onsite show program, ads and web material.

MULTIMEDIA SUPPORT

This presentation support was created for a 3-day conference. The graphics used creative ways to display factual information which would otherwise be shown as charts and graphs. Text and images built on and off the screen, adding dimension and motion to the information presented.

THEME GRAPHIC

Graphic support developed for an annual 3-day conference held in Washington DC. The images used were from the 1920s and 30s and showed the history of jazz in DC. Images appeared over moving musical notes and sheet music. Full color images appeared over the black and white photography, highlighting some of the great jazz artists of DC’s history.

MULTIMEDIA SUPPORT

The graphic support created for this 4-day conference reflected the bold and exciting achievements of this association over the past year, and complemented the overall graphic treatment that the client had created for their print support. Well over 100 graphics were developed for use throughout the general sessions.

THEME GRAPHIC

To mark the company’s 2008 completion of National’s ballpark, this theme graphic was developed to complement the event and the location. The event was held at the ballpark, with an attendance of over 1,000.

THEME GRAPHIC

When the client asked for a title graphic that included their conference theme “Turn it Up,” O’Keefe Communications delivered a graphic whose imagery captured that key phrase. The image was extruded in 3-D and later animated for the general sessions as a logo loop.

Interactive Kiosk

When an environmentally conscious client requested something playful for their exhibit hall kiosk, O'Keefe Communications designed an eye-catching, interactive presentation complete with touchscreen menu. The presentation taught visitors what they could do to protect the environment and was enhanced by a voiceover and sound effects.

WIDESCREEN SCENIC AND SUPPORT GRAPHIC

In a 3-day conference with multiple general sessions, breakouts, networking events, a large expo floor, and an awards gala, this was one of many widescreen backgrounds developed as set elements to support speakers and events. The conference was held in Dallas, TX.
